Hey Hardy. It's nice to see another 21 being built at the same time. It looks like you have done a lot of cutting! All of your parts looks perfectly cut out. Thanks for the compliment on my boat. I assure you there are lots of tiny imperfections that the pictures can't show. I guess that's how it goes for first time builders though. Maybe we can share tips throughout the build?

That's fine. Are you mainly working after work and weekends? I slowed down for a while with the build. I got kind of bored with all of the miscellaneous flat pieces, but now that my hull is 3D, morale is high again.

That sounds like a good plan. I'm going to try to get both hulls finished minus the outer fiberglass over winter. I want to wait until it warms up to do the major fiberglass sheathing. We are going to build the beams over my wife's Christmas break. I'm going with net for the cockpit like Rory. I have sailed a tiki. My friend Brandon Gamble has a tiki 21 in Tennessee. My wife and I went about a month ago and sailed and camped out with him. We both slept in the same hull, head to head. We could even both fit in the forward bunk section together (snuggled up pretty tightly). I love the tikis. Sailing flat is great, and coming about isn't as hard as you'd think. I raised the cabin top a bit to allow me to sit up properly inside. I am 73" tall, so I needed a bit more space for my outboard shoulder.
