stay and shrouds

I just sailed the first two times with the longer mast, I made an extension on an aluminum mast of 50 cm. I have some doubt about the shrouds and the stay as i did not change them. First I had about 20 cm. length of cord tying them to the boat, this is now about 70 cm. I noticed the cord has too many stretch. I am thinking of changing the cord in a 4mm dinema doubled and to add a rigging screw to be able to put the right tension and to gain time mounting the boat. Any experience with this ?

If you use dynema, have you think about deadeyes? I think it may be a good way to adjust the tension.
