About me or us?
The Ethnic Catamaran Company sails Polynesian-inspired double canoes, built using a combination of modern and traditional techniques, to explore concepts of sea-steading and the viability of small, self-reliant, water-borne communities that "tread lightly" on the sea.

More Than A Place To Rest

The after end of the port hull's main cabin, showing the still-unfinished galley. The surfaces need to be sanded back and sealed better and the stainless Plastimo two-burner and oven unit has yet to be fitted and plumbed in.

Sometimes the only way to make a launch date is to enlist more manpower (of course, there will also be one person who will stand around just watching!)

Hi Creed,

Just came back home this morning from a three weeks trip in Malaysia. We sailed Pumpkin from Klang to Langkawi. I keep her there in Telaga harbor for the time being. The trip went well, although very tiring the first days (almost no wind during the day but good progress at night ... and a lot of fishing boats). I enjoyed sailing her and always felt very safe. Going back in July - August for a couple of weeks. Will check your web site to see how things progress with your Tiki. She should almost be ready by now.
