one wall up and a break till the coolth of the morning.

well now a wall is up and it sure is a big boy. to get the width we had to go nearly twenty feet high. all in all it's not to bad we did the hard part today. tomorrow we get up at 0500 and do some work while it's cool. in case anyone wonders when you are committed to building a boat; I would say the moment you build a shed larger than your house by three times ;)

Bow shed getting assembled

to tell the truth i never thought it would get here. I built the stem walls and we are making bows, tomorrow we will raise the stove shop office part of the shed. huzza! Huzza! HUZZA!!!! 24'X80'  is not a small space 9 feet at the pitch is not a short space but it will allow for the things to go on that need to happen. I will get some pictures tomorrow as we put the first part up and put the ply on it. Shade is, at this time of year essential to working outdoors. Our dream is getting geared…

Still waiting and money matters.

Well here we are in building season, after months of getting quotes (or not) tracking down mills and trying to play the game by the rules i am still waiting for my delivery. Well i tend to have other things to do as well so today i fixed my wood lathe, checked out the 2 horse and its live center and am kinda thinking how to make the 60 foot masts and allow my self to simply turn them round on the lathe. Its going to take a few roller blocks and stabilizers but should work out pretty…

getting thing ready Or bow shed a beyond.

I am not much on blogging and till lately i have had little to blog about.

As said last time i had the study plans and was making some needed changes to make the boat disabled friendly and tall person friendly.

a few of the more important considerations we had to address.

1. head room: at 2 meters tall this is a consideration that impacts my comfort and utility aboard.

2. width of walkways: on crutches i am 40 inches wide and cannot get narrower with out…

Study plans

Got the study plans a bit ago and have been going over them. in the plans there is no place for my chair When i need it. So we will be drawing up a bit of new hull while trying to keep the T46 lines. I sent a note to Mr. Wharram to ask if i can buy the parts of the plan i need and not the parts i will have to redesign.

My dad likes the design as well so i have plenty of experienced help to bounce ideas and plans off. Its going to be a nice build I suppose i have to be patient for…
