 Hi Steve,

I Don't  know Te Kapoo by name, but did see a Hinemoa sail past from a distance about 3 yr ago, whilst  Isis was being built. Put up a pic, the one i saw was white with a white wingsail. Crossing Bass Strait will be a challenge, but with the right wind  a breeze. Isis sails fastest on a beam reach & lightly loaded have reached 13.5 knots. I modified the build to make her 4m wide & used 100 by 100mm aluminium box section for the main 2 beams, then cut up an old tornado mast for the fwd beam & added an aft beam with the other half. The wingsail is a must, so efficient, tacks well ( unless reefed) heaves to like a dream. the only shortcoming when sailing is heading into choppy seas, when the best option is to turn & run with it.  good luck.
