About me or us?

We’re Mark and Sally,
two ordinary people trying to refit a small vintage catamaran, escape the rat race, and build our way toward a life of sailing.

Serenity is our neglected old cruising catamaran, rebuilt on a tiny budget with practical skills, hard work and plenty of mistakes along the way.

This boat is our training ground. We’re using her to build the skills and experience we’ll need to take on a larger Wharram catamaran in the near future and follow our dream of sailing around the world.

This channel shows the real side of boat repair and sailing: the problems, the lessons, the failures, the small wins, and the slow progress that gets us closer to the dream.
No glossy marina lifestyle. No big budget. Just two ordinary people trying to rebuild a boat and escape into the sunset.
