we raised the bows to give more lift at sea and also to make the pod fit in with the general look of the vessel,at the moment we are still lighter than before, the bow arrangement is approximately 40 kilos lighter after removing the hefty but rotten dagger board arrangement. as a note our last pahi 42 didn't have dagger boards and didn't seem to make any difference to the windward sailing. with the junk rig arrangement we're putting on there's a possibility that she may be better to wind ward but we will wait and sea, for us it's a cruising cat to get us around the world.
