John,

Sorry for the slow response. Been busy with outside work. I didn't put any fabric over those fillets. I agree, that 3 way joint should be strong. I added a stringer on the underside of the shelf to hull side joint. Just didn't want to do the upside down fillets. I don't believe that there's much difference in strength.

/right on dude .I DID THE SAME.My interior fillets are all different coloures ,reminicent of dairycone swirl.What do you think about letting coach roof run aft 5inches or so creating a nice protective overhang for a simple top hinged window.Also would somewhat shelter conection of crossbeam to hull Or will overhang interupt with steering?/
