The workshop for most dusty and drippy tasks is below the cockpit of Spirit of Gaia. A tarp strung between the hulls sheds rain athwartships and blowing rain from either end of the boat is blocked by the deck pods. Here there is some shelter from rain and sun so tools get stored here, along with works in progress, like the yellow masts. Michaël is chiseling out rot in the wedges that keep the beams from shifting outboard. Thomas is putting cetol on the cross-members that fix the deck pods to each other.
