Hello Paul, what are the dimensions (length and width) of the blade? Mine are 90 x 20 cm made from 6 mm marine ply plus epoxy and polyurethan (I made some spares).

Hans, the plans call for a length of 1200 length, top width450 and bottom width of 230.These measurements are for a big boat like phelo,on my tiki 26 I have made the vane smaller at a length of 800mm.

your ship is coming on nicely.

Thanks, Paul. Good to know. I have no plans, just some parameters and the engineering touch. Must see how it works. My servo rudders are 20 % of the main rudder and the action from the air blade is transferred to the servo at a ratio of about 1 : 1. Frictionless mechanics with bicycle hubs on ball bearings plus push rods over 'cranks'.

Thanks for mentioning Phefo. She is coming on nicely, but there are so many details to attend to. Have a look at www.phefo.com  Low budget means doing everything self. Right down to the chart plotter and AIS. I found out how to make an AIS 2 band receiver with NMEA output to the computer for a few bucks only. Search the net!
