That main sail looks high up there. Is your mast length slightly longer, as some have suggested would benefit viewing in light airs?

Nice bucket!

Lol Thanks! As for my mast no its 21ft I believe anyway... part of the reason the foot main is higher in this pick is I forgot to tie in the down haul as you can see it swinging in the breeze. (blue line) However I have noticed that in light air I can set the throat halyard higher (and increase visibility) because I don't need the added force to control the peak halyard. Does that make sense? Its early for me (having coffee) :)

Thanks for that. I'm rebuilding my mast and am wondering if I might go a bit higher as some have suggested.

I noted in your other pictures, you have a tramp on the back. I'm consider this while I'm doing the refurb on my boat. Do you find it useful?

Cheers

I find it very useful. It mostly acts as my swim ladder but has many uses. I'm currently contemplating adding a rear tramp beam with a swim ladder/ fish cleaning/ outside kitchen station in the middle. Still banging out the details though. I have a section of aluminum boom I was thinking of using but Element tells me she'd prefer to have as few metal parts as possible. I tend to agree ;-) so I may build an I beam like the rest.
