Hi Marc- nice pictures,. I've been playing with deck blocks and wonder how far away from the cabin to place them and of course ultimately the beams  that join the hulls something like 3/8 or a half-inch maybe right I guess. Don't want the beams chafing against the cabin front cabin back. The plans don't seem to tell.

Hi,

Our experience is that when the crossbeams rub a little in the higher waves, they squeak a bit and the sound attracts whales if you are offshore'  We had whale visits daily during our trans Atlantic always seeming to be interested in the area along the aft starboard hull which had a squeaking crossbeam.  This is exciting and fun for sure, but also a little frightening because they are huge animals.  Maybe consider some sort of hard but non squeaky chafing material....?

Hello Annie maybe something like an old flip flop would work. I could jam it  right into that 3/8 inch crack and there should be no more problems, no more stinky great fishes.

Hi Mark it's me again I'm still concerned about these deck pads Did you bond yours to the deck with the proxy Or use the caulking compound? Plans call for 8 mm bolts to attach them.  Big bolts for a little block. We are using the lashing system for attaching cross beams to hull... It would seem to me the rope lashings take almost all the strains involved, of course using the strap system of attachment Blocks would end up doing all the work. What do you think? I wonder if there's enough flex up there to cause an epoxy bonded block To fatigue and suck water. Guess I'm considering Quarter inch bolts and epoxy bonded blocks to the deck With a good bead of caulking around them.

Have one year of your last photo. Where's the boat?

Hey Rogerio,

It,s taking a long time isn't it. I have many excuses; busy working, some health issues..., but I'm still going.

I'm planning on launching next spring. Just finished building tillers. For major projects, I still have to build an aft beam, ladder, fore deck, mast and gaff, standing rigging and sails. Oh and did I mention money...

I've been keeping up with ALL of your videos and pics. Looks great man !  I can Feel your satisfaction.

Like the new fore deck. I must have some more recent pics, if not I'll take some.

Happy sailing.
