John,

Somehow, I expected to see an open cockpit, but that pod looks really good.

Open cockpit would be fun but my pod is the first part of the boat that I can see being a comfortable place to hang out on a rainy stretch of weather it's pretty nice roomie feeling inside. I had wanted to make it sort of half-size, but lost my courage in the long run and built it as planned . Now I'm worrying over the rudder construction wondering if three-quarter inch AC grade plywood would suffice? What are you up to now

Now, I do remember your debating a shorter pod. I considered a pod for the same reason. It does look comfortable. Nice tidy job too.  Don't know what to say about rudders. I agree with Budget Boaters response. My rudders are a laminate of 4 layers of 9 mm hydrotek.   They're heavy, for their size, but strong.

As for what I'm up to:  working on the electrical system.
