I made this catwalk to be able to get to the windvane, to put in and out of function and make adjustments.

Living dangerously, hey! To give you credit, the row lock for wrigging is very good.

Adriano, I will put her into the water without an engine and try to learn sailing her like that. I have a number of reasons for that but mainly it is that engines ruin the aesthetic aspect of sailing for me. I dislike their sound, vibration and smell. Our home port is rather wide and it should be possible to move her in there with no engine. It is not a marina but a fishing harbour and I plan to put her on a mooring inside the harbour. If there is no wind and I need to move, I will use a long sculling oar out to the back of the boat through the oarlock which can be seen in the picture. I will also have a number of paddles on board for the crew to help get her moving. We have moved the Tiki 26 of our sailing club with 2 paddles quite well in calm waters.

I am also building an outboard bracket  to be attached under the 3rd beam for those waterways where it is prohibitted to sail without an engine (like Panama & Suez canal......  smile... just kiding....) or for the case that the no engine sailing should turn out to be completely impractical which I do not think it will be.
