    Hi Rex
The Marine ply seems quite good I have pcs lying around that have been through many wet dry cycles and no delimitation. The red Marranti is a nice light wood but if you order without seeing the wood expect some sap wood in the order also pcs with grain run out  perhaps 5% not usable. The epoxy I use is good have used it on several boats there is also a brand in Thailand called Bossco Epoxy used for bathroom tiles ect pre mixed with filler slow setting and no sagging (about 3 hrs) makes really nice fillets I used it on 3 boats and they held together really well. Check east marine they have good price on epoxy and the best price on 200gsm fiberglass. I will send the info for mast when I recieve it .
Amateur build plywood boats have very little resale value. I build because I enjoy it but it makes no sense financially.

    Cheers

    Hi Rex
    Thanks for the link.
As for wood - for framing , hatches, toe rails and heavy parts I used old teak I salvaged and recut on a table saw. In the north you can find a lot of secondhand timbers as the good stuff seams to last forever. The teak is light strong and really nice to work with. Second choice would be takien tong . Try to get everything kiln or properly dried . As splitting and checking are a real problem with many species. What is the name of your design? We're in the north do you plan to build? I am just about finished building and hope to launch before new year.
