Deck tent + sailing shelter

Helloooo again - we're not really setting out to monopolise the discussion, however some more info/advice would be wonderfull. There seems to be plenty of it here (good advice, that is) Have found lotsa pictures of shelters on site and would appreciate any specific info/do's/don'ts any catches n things to look for and avoid with regard to materials/setting up/design/building a deck tent for T30.

Also has anyone ideas on a sailing shelter (not pod). How about some sort of "pramhood" that can be pivotted on centre of c'pit and swung f'ward and b'ward.
