Wharram Builders and Friends

A Photo & Discussion Forum for Wharram Design Enthusiasts

Hi I'm JL, I'm new to the site.

It's an honor to have the chance write on this forum. :-)

I'm about to build a Wharram.

What type and configuration you suggest for maximum speed performance?

Tiki 30? Tiki 38? Tiki 46? And what sails and rig type?

I would like to build a superfast ocean/coastal cruiser. I don't care much about comfort.

Thank you in advance for the wise answers ;-)

I'm not a fan of speed at sea, but I like to work well a sailboat. A few years ago, I designed and built the little brother of my future catamaran with similar dimensions to Tiki21 and the same spirit of construction. I have been at a gathering of wharrams compare with Tiki21 his qualities, and I must say, on equal terms, I was more powerful. I also always with the same small catamaran make the connection between two islands to the average of 8.5 knots. I refer you to my page on my blog with the photo of the little brother.
