Hi all,

I need to rebuild the tenons locking the beams on my Tiki 26.

I'd like to build them like on the Tiki 21: Pads and cheeks on the inboard sides of the hulls, beam resting between the cheeks. Pads no cheeks on the outboard sides of the hulls. The athwartship movements being locked by blocks fastened to the undersides of the beams. I am wondering about the lack of cheeks on the outboard pads, especially for the fore beam which is not snugged against the cabin.

Can anyone tell me if this construction would also be appropriate for the Tiki 26? I understand that I will slightly raise the beams above the deck because of the extra blocking under the beams.

Thanks.

Cheers, Thierry
