<p>312cm is the proper length for my boat! I strongly recommend to make a test with some cheap wire rope and bulldog clamps to measure the neccessary length (rope does not work, it streches too much) because the number given in the plans is certainbly wrong. If it is only a little too long or too short the wire rope will touch wood and chafe on the slots which are cut into the bottom of the beam.</p>

<p>I have to correct my numbers: Dolhpin striker wire rope length in the plan is 320cm, this 6cm too long. 314cm seems to be a proper length. Sorry for confusing the numbers in my original post.</p>
<p>I have not contacted JWD about that yet but will do when I get the new rope and see that it fits.</p>
