I'm tired of sanding epoxy.... So I'm quitting that.

The video below, is a good reason.

Dean, I press the chain icon and I paste the link....

I think this site is screwed up to be honest..... This is a problem  that's been happening for about a year now.

Before then I never had a problem.

All the best! Thanx man,

When you enter the world of computers, you are entering a world controlled and shaped by geeks.  It's like entering an asylum controlled by the inmates, or going from a world designed and controlled by men to one designed and controlled by women.  While much of it will be logical and rational, you will come upon things that you simply to not have to tools to comprehend because they do not fit into what your mind sees as logic.......... They are perfectly logical to the inmate, but not to you.

In this case the link box provides HTTP://  conveniently highlighted in red.   That "feature" is for someone to type in an URL manually by just placing the cursor after it as you are doing, and typing.....  You are placing your cursor in the box and pasting.  When you place your cursor in the box and click, the red highlight goes away and the HTTP:// will remain, and whatever you paste in will show up afterward.

The work around is simplicity itself..... just DO NOT CLICK IN THE BOX..... Your URL will then overtype the red highlighted HTTP://    Because you click in the box you are ending up with those letters and symbols twice.... which does not work.

The whole process is a bit irrational, and you will find various iterations of this anywhere you enter an URL on a website... It may be highlighted, or it may not be.......... it shouldn't even be there as far as I'm concerned.  After all when was the last time anybody typed in an URL manually?    and if they were going to do that, perhaps they could type the HTTP:// in manually as well.....         Remember this is a GEEK CONTROLLED WORLD.   You have to learn to outsmart geeks!  Not difficult because they are not particularly intelligent relative to everybody else, nor are they usually trying to confound you and I.   There clearly are some nefarious cabals among them, but they are the exception, not the rule.  In fact the majority I suspect are working stiffs like the rest of  us who go home to normal families rather than climbing down into bunker filled with computers other cool electronic toys and spend their off time communing with other geeks playing video games living on frozen pizza and Dr Pepper.

Interesting stuff Dean, Thanx 4 d instructions and example.....

The final bit of your post pretty much describes the problem.

It's a mechanical world where time is money and mechanics is such an amazing product, that it can generate money for itself in order to create itself.......

It's the run for the top, no matter what... It's a run for life, cos that's the norm.....

The norm we eat every day, since it gets put before us where ever we turn, and we are ordered to eat it.....

We are concerned about being at times, since we witness intelligence being replaced by the mechanical world....

All D best
