How much would it help to get draggers to run through that area with top trawls? I understand that the size is that of texas but getting the top layer off a little at a time is something. this didnt happen fast and its gonna be fixed fast. the other question is (other than scooping plastic out of the water when we see it) is it possible to go out to the gyre and collect plastic heat into bricks and use it in some way? I do understand that we need ot stop it at the source but thats my ocean out there and i would like to take some sort of direct action.
