That's one nice boat. Great job! Did you build it? Looks very professional finished. Although it's no Wharram, I like that kind of boats...

Klaus: Beautiful boat. I've always loved Oughtred's designs.  Have you used it to go over the surf from a beach with breaking waves on it? Would it work as a dory for this purpose? (I mean throwing it on the water from a beach, going over the surf rowing and after passing the surf line, sailing or anchoring for fishing.)

Hi Hector.

It's defenitely not a surf boat - I, at least, would absolutely not try what you are suggesting - but in more capable hands who knows what's possible. The boat's very light despite its size (5.6 meters, hull about 150 kgs). Perhaps with to or three experienced hands abord - not including self though...! Cheers Klaus
