The Tanenui was designed to be built in foam sandwich, and latter it was adapted to plywood construction.

But this boat has rigid beams which I do not believe where in the original design.

I went to see this catamaran expecting it to be a Tanenui derivative , but decided that it was too long , too heavy and basically a 'one - off' .

The only online reference to it was at - https://www.thecoastalpassage.com/pp5.html .

The owner of the catamaran - Lindsay (a farmer) had not decided what to do with it.

I would very much like to know its current location and whether it has been restored.

It has a short overall beam (as is usual in the early classics) but also a very low bridgedeck clearance. It is a pitty because the hulls seems to be in a good shape.
