Then ends are notched to locate and fit in the beams kind of like the standard deck. I have four hardwood mounting points thru bolted with backing pads on the hull sides. The main two crossmembers are treated 2x4's and in between those are some stringers screwed to the undersides to stiffen it all up. I've had six people on it with no issues.
