I used Peelaway 7 stripper (left for 72hrs) to remove all the paint. After neutralising, I pressure washed the beam. I needed to get back the the wood to make sure there's no rot, and so I can confidently paint using 2 pack epoxy.

It takes about 15 mins per side to apply Peelaway stripper. Add 20 mins removing the muck and cleaning with the pressure washer, to give 35 mins total. Although Peelaway is expensive it's actually a quick way to prep the beam.

And ... I'm only planning on painting this boat once!
