Andrés left a comment for Roman Tschernich
"These are the photos of the related pages of the plans. I could not find the dimensions of the shrouds and of the fore stay (I have the plans, but I didn't build the boat). I hope that this will help you. Regards, Andrés."

Andrés replied to Allen Bosely's discussion Distance between Tangaroa MK IV bulkheads?
"The Tiki and Pahi 26 study plans doesn’t show these measurements, either. In my case, I made a scale comparing the overall length of the boat with the overall length of the drawing in the plan."

"It has a short overall beam (as is usual in the early classics) but also a very low bridgedeck clearance. It is a pitty because the hulls seems to be in a good shape."

"The Tanenui was designed to be built in foam sandwich, and latter it was adapted to plywood construction. But this boat has rigid beams which I do not believe where in the original design."

Andrés replied to Steve W's discussion Paddling or rowing Tiki 26...works or not? in the group TIKI 26
"I don't think you could move a T26 with paddling or rowing  more than a few meters, and you need 3 people onboard, one for steering and two for paddling.  Another approach is the use of a yuloh or sculling over the stern. The yuloh…"

Andrés replied to Levi Verwoest's discussion How to capsize a Hinemoa
"It is a nice boat, even in this condition. The hulls looks solid, perhaps you could rebuild her with more beam in a Tiki style, including the modifications you want after the recent experience. "

Andrés replied to Levi Verwoest's discussion How to capsize a Hinemoa
"In the Sea People magazine are references about the capsize of a Tiki 21 and a Pahi 26 (twice), both in a lake in Austria. In T. F. Jones book Multihull Voyaging there is a report of a Tane capsize in a similar situation as the Hinemoa Isis. I…"

Hi Andrés,
I'm in Rio de Janeiro and I have already bought the Tiki26 building plan. I saw the tend you have on your Tiki and I would like to know if the design cames in the Wharram package or if it is your creation. As I have written at TIKI 26 Group I need a very good sun protection in my future boat. I wonder if I can add some lenght to the mast so I can make a "bimini" like a roof as I saw on a picture of a Tiki 30. If for any chance you will come to Rio, please let me know. My e-mail is valedefreitas@hotmail.com. Have a nice day, Alexandre

Dear Andres, We have sent you an email but just in case you do not get it we are John and Kat from Australia, members of the PCA and we are building a 42' Pahi due to launch in about a year. We will be in Montevideo on Friday 28th January just for the day. If you are going to be in the area and would be happy to meet with us to discuss Wharram building and owning, we would enjoy it very much. Please let us know as soon as possible.
