I notice you have made up the Wharram's wind autohelm system.
Just wondering how efficient it is and how much of the time can you use it.

I have a an electrical wheel autopilot which is good as you say for short trips.
I will make the windvane a project. Thanks for the info.

Hi Daniel.
Looking at your photos, it looks like a simple trim tab off the rudders. I have built a system like that on a previous boat. The drawback was that the trim tab was bolted to the back of the rudder, so the trim tabs lived permanently in the water like the rudders. Is the setup the same with the Wharrams windvane?
