Hey man - found you on CF !! Great to hear you are making cruising plans and that residence thing must be a weight off your mind. We have great cruising here only 15,000 nm away you would get a great welcome !! And you would not need a bimini to shelter from the midday sun !!

G.B. it is like a weight that has suddenly been lifted. 10 years of visa shyte is more than anyone should have to bear. I was looking at having finished the boat and then sail away under the cover of darkness at one stage.

Thankfully this has all been cleared up and sv Warthog will be wet in the not too distant future. For now I am taking it easy and enjoying this life. The sailing of Warthog will hopefully put a smile on my mug too.

cheers P.

I did Paul.It is a Tangaroa. I have her mast up and been out sailing. I need to finish the insides. Heaters and appliances. The wiring is all done. I am frustrated with my sails. The forsails are ok but my main does not work with my furling boom and i am thinking of just removing the boom all together. Also cutting the top off the sail and putting a top boom. But this is how I feel right now and will probably change my mind! Any experience with running with out a boom?
