Genoa sheeting

"Well first off a short track with a car and turning block would be a good start as this would allow for changing the foot vs leach tension and make for less effort then pulling the sheet through an eye. When there is pressure on, that eye will…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Jordi's discussion LPG cylinder storage in a Tiki 30?
"It should be simple to add as downward S that would prevent water going up, short of sinking, and still allow the gas to drain down. A few 90deg PVC elbows should do the job. Good luck and please post picture of your final design. "

Edward Wolfe replied to Jordi's discussion LPG cylinder storage in a Tiki 30?
"Page 12 of the Assembly Plans just show using the hole which allows the gas pipe to enter via bulkhead 6 to also vent gas inside. I suppose this does not meet ABYC :)  But then Sheet 1 of Structural Details appears to show a small oval opening…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Jordi's discussion Misaligned chainplates
"If you want it right, correct the problem. Currently there is an unintended torque on the bolts, when the designer intended the pull it be straight and no torque. If your a Half A type don't worry and carry on. If this were a choice of putting…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Christian Linder's discussion Sticky Epoxy
"Be aware also that some epoxy ratios are by volume and some by weight. I use Raka (USA FL company)for one reason because it's 2:1 by volume and very easy to get the mix correct. I doubt if I've ever been within 1%, but never have had to…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Bart Koop's discussion looking for a way to improve upwind sailing.
"I was not sure about the sails, i find it difficult to see where the deepest point of the profile is, thanks to the sleeve  i think. but just the age is probably a reaonable indicator. A couple three draft stripes and sail telltails will help…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Bart Koop's discussion looking for a way to improve upwind sailing.
"What kind of airs were you sailing in the pic? In light air?  But generally, 6 year old dacron is pretty much at or past the infection point of reasonable performance.  Most one-design racers I know will use dacron 1 season. Your sail…"

Edward Wolfe replied to Ricardo Aráoz's discussion Tiki 30 - Gaps for bulkheads 1 and 7? in the group TIKI 30
"This is probably late, but...IIRC BH7 did reach to the bottom of the keel timber in the slot between the stern post. This made the top align with the lower hull top. The problem was the keel timber was milled to 18mm and the stern is also 18mm,…"

"Hi Ralf, have you had a chance to test your drogue configuration? Also what kind of backing did you do on the deck where the drogue plate is attached? Thanks, oh and I love the round portlights/portholes I think I may have to do the same! :) "
