About me or us?
Spent five years building Wharram 42. When we set sail she become our primary home. Lived on board with my wife and spent seven years sailing her from Preston in UK to Vanuatu.
I am not a trained carpenter, or boat builder by trade. Did build fiber glass sky boats as a young man. Also, fiber glass canoe's in a yourth club as a youth.
Redisigned the Wharram to meet our needs for a fixed cabin across the hulls.

She was built as a monocoque so as to build a cabin across both hulls. Her hulls were double skinned with a foam core. She was made entirely of wood most of which was used timber and epoxy. A small centre hull was slung under the deck to house a diesel engin with a fold up leg. Wheel steering with auto helm. Bow thrusters. Full navigation instraments. Roller reafing forsail and main fully battoned with ball bearing cars; all lines run back to stearing position. Stainless steal gas hob, oven cooker. Two stainless steel water tanks. I have photo's but as yet don't know how to upload!
