A Photo & Discussion Forum for Wharram Design Enthusiasts
Hi Nigel, I have just bought Stringalong to restore to full sailing order. I would like to find out all her history, too, and would be grateful for anything you can tell me about her and especially for any pictures you might be able to pass on. At the moment she is missing her mast, sails and rigging, the main beam and deck unit, the rudders and tillers, the outboard shown in your picture and all her other gear. All that remains is the two hulls and two beams. Do you have any idea where all the missing parts are? It would be so good to put it all back together. The hulls are well built and definitely worth the effort of restoring to full use.
I have sent you a friend request so you can message me if you like.
Regards,
Steve
Hi Steve
I bought the wharram from southend on sea the guy used it solely for fishing under power, he'd bought it from a very fussy home builder who also built models.
I sold it to a guy who worked at queensburo but lived in Essex. give me a call or better send an email and i'll send you photos
the last time I saw it he'd taken most bits up to Essex leaving the hulls and beams in the queensboro.
