The masts, 8.6 and 9.4 m long (inclusive mast foot) were manufactured of high strength water pipes (90 mm) and several layers of bidirectional glass cloth and matrix epoxy. The masts were then post cured. Total weight is about 4 kg per meter. There is no visible taper, but there are more layers of glass/epoxy in the lower mast.
