Hi Jacques,

That is one of the unknowns. I have used dyneema in several high-wear situations and it seems to be extremely tough. I expect that it will last a long time. The epoxy penetrates the fibers, so I would cut through the solid epoxy at deck level if I had to remove them. On the other hand, installing stainless pad eyes on relatively thin wood/glass can also have a destructive effect on the surrounding wood and might not last that long. Fittings are also very expensive, whereas these cost close to nothing.
