that is correct, the blocks are Coosa board laminated up and shaped and glassed

Why Coossa? Thats some high tech stuff for a low tech part not to mention the $$$.

Because this is a top quality composite boat, these parts made of wood would be susceptible to rot. Also these blocks attach the net beam to the bows and the beam resists the head stay force trying to pull the bows towards one another. Coosa is not cheap. It is very good.
