Final checks on the engine and new platform. Cavitation plate comes out around 200mm below the water. The motor tilts right up under the rear beam. All looks about right.

Looks great to me!  I think I will be making a new cockpit for my boat and I will move the motor into the cockpit area as you have chosen, rather than in the aft section.  I have a long shaft motor, but every now and then it lifts too high and cavitates.  I think being able to access the motor from within the cockpit makes life easier too...
