To be honest. My very first project was a 31' monohull 30 years ago when I was 20 ...

I've sold it bevore it was done ... perhaps to young, I don't know ...

Now with the age of 50 and after two marriages I think its time to turn back to my original plans.

That's why I'm building the Tiki 26 :)

Good looking first boat project!!  And I think your choice of the tiki26 is a wise one- I know that , in hindsight, it is what I would have built instead of the 30- I'm not so sure the 26 was available when i chose, also I was much younger and sure that I would be on the caribbean ....  In another month or so I hope to prove to myself that I have made the 30 into a reasonably convenient 'trailer sailer' .  We will likely travel the western USA going from reservoir to reservoir.
