Bantering during mid-day work in the cockpit was a common occurrence. This area above the galley is where we ate most of our lunches. Dinners were around the old fire-pit in the center of the cockpit in good weather, and down in the galley on rainy days. In the background is Hermes, aka Herpes, by far the most derelict vessel in the Messolongi yard.
