What a cool sail!  Please write some more about how it is built and how you like the way it works.  Wonderfully interesting!

i took the photo from a book " Pas de panique à bord" : in 1975 two french builted a Tane ans crossed Atlantic to Amazon and return . With very few money, they reported the weted and uncomfortable crossing , but the extraordinary way with the sheap and  little catamaran they meet people along the Amazon ( in 1975 ) . The sail is  an old parachute, effecient but sometime ascensional !

i contacted one of them some years ago and he answered me that since this experience they prefer " the cow's floor "...
