By the time I build it , I saw that boat as source of my pains ,it exhausted us physically  and financially , Too big everywhere , too expensive to relax without insurance , so we did not do much but small local cruises . Fine to live on ,comfy ,but so is a small apartment . To my observations ,that is often the case with large yachts , they just sit somewhere , you just dont take them out for fun ,they are serious boats . Building a Tiki 30 is going back to kind of boats I use to have and sailed and cruised a lot ,and can really enjoy . Old school

Did you ever consider putting such a boat to work? Charter etc.

it is quite illuminating what you say about the lifestyle on a big cat like that,these problems are by no means restricted to boats though,the average australian house now is a massive carbuncle compared to post war houses and one must ask wether all the extra bling and flash are not just a symptom of our egos and are directly proportionate to said egos size?
