Hi,
Actually they are ultra simple and quick to make. Only thing is that you make a stick through the top and a stick through the bottom and a reinforced area to fit your hand through. the cloth is cut so it is just a bit larger than the galley locker opening. A bolt is fitted in the front of the opening through the ply and you just hang the top stick up inside there. I have a little notch in the top stick and the threads in the bolt just hold it in place on the inside of the locker. So I reach in through the opening, lift the top stick, and lift the cloth out just enough so I can let go of it and the bottom stick is inside the opening to hold it all in place while I am cooking. No velcro, no elastic, no expensive metal fastenings, no nothing. Don't know how I ever thought up such a simple system. But it works fine and these are made of denim like blue jeans. I can remove the sticks to launder them, but they seem to stay pretty clean as you can see. Think good thoughs of me when you make and use my idea. Love, Ann and Nev

Oh Ann,

Wonderful idea!  Last I spoke with you, I asked you how to make complicated laced galley doors for my 'land' galley.  This idea is much better!!  I will post some pictures to you when I have our apartment built!
