These are cross-sections of the two main beams on my modified Tangaroa.

There is a clear span ,[between the hulls], of 3000mm, making the total beam length 6000mm.

Each beam is 450mm deep. Of this, 120mm is above the deck crown level.

The remaining 330mm is embedded in the hull, and connected to it right down to the keel.

The two fore and aft box beams, [which are indicated in the photo showing the beams in orange], are torsion boxes, which, amongst other things, rigidify the entire structure.

Correction: The beams are 350mm deep, 230mm of which is embedded in the hull
