Is Wilson based on what you used on Cookie?

No I used a Bill Belcher OGM mkII design for Cookie with a large area of vane straight to the tillers. Wilson is based on the wharram plans for their trim tab self steering. I scaled down some of the dimensions that I figured would be adequate for the Tiki 30 size. It works very well. I have found it needs limiting strings attached to the tillers (seen in the pic above) to stop the weight of the tillers from giving too much helm in light conditions. All good fun tinkering and making your vane and boat talk to each other efficiently!
