Alex well done mate. In Australia if you tried to do that they would put you in jail. Road safety, regulations blah,blah.

well, thats Uruguay, land of freedom and no BIG BROTHER looking over your shoulder. we do had the Highway Patrol giving us support on a short part of the trip that was made on a busy Highway. For longer trips in busy areas you need to have special permits though, expensive and nasty ones... but we learned that cutting the corner works sometimes... no jail for us, thats for sure
