Share 'Painting. Before or after?'

Bonjour, Once the hull has been glassed with fabric, beam sockets, lacing battens and some other thing have to be put on the boat. Do you put them before or after the painting? (And paint them separatly after) Also, do you glue these,accessories or do you use only silicone and screws? With thanks for your answers, Éric
