Would like to take my newly acquired Tiki 30 up the beach (or launching ramp at the Yacht Club) using inflatable rollers, like this http://www.duckworksbbs.com/gear/beachroller/index.htm. Anyone have any experience in this? What's weight rating should the rollers be? Would making a couple of dolly axles be better? Designs?  Thanks!

One tiki 30 weight +- 3000 lbs, with 6 beachrollers you roll the tiki 30 easy.

Watch what I do with any sticks and mud

When I first took my Tiki 21 to West Africa, I had a pair of dollies made up for launching on the loose sandy beach. The tires were much too small (12 - 16  inch o/d as I recall) and did not work too well. After refurbishing the boat, my son tried making inflatable beach rollers for launching. If he could have pumped them to a higher pressure they might have worked but the deep V of the hulls pushed through so the hulls were almost on the beach. Here are a couple of shots of them. Note how many helpers the launch required - it is a long beach with loose sand.

I expect that the rollers advertised on Duckworks should work much better although the Tiki 30 is much heavier than the T21. Better yet might be dollies using the large wheels used around here on docks that are rolled in and out of lakes seasonally.

Peter understand why I talk about 6 rollers...one free, always two under the boat

Thanks Rogerio - just small sticks! Amazing. I think the boat ramps are a bit rougher here so might need something with a bigger diameter.  I think the big jack is a good idea and would help a lot.  I will keep in touch!
