   We placed four 80 watt solar panels over the netting on the port side aft this summer and this is keeping us in good balance on Peace's house batteries even on cloudy days with computer use, putting in GPS waypoints, and electric LED lights in the galley for reading.  The two 80 watt panels we have on the aft of the port hull usually keep the small freezer going nicely, but today we needed to boost it using the generator to a smart charger because of the British style drizzle and rain.  Since leaving Rhode Island on this trip starting Oct 2, we have not needed to boost the freezer with the generator until today's very cloudy weather and warm temperatures (Nov 21).  We are pleased. Those two areas are not prone to foot traffic on the boat and seem to be the ideal location.  There is more room on top of the bimini but it will be shaded part of the time by the main sail so it would not work at top performance.  Ann and Nev
