Event Description
The annual Spring/Summer Hui Wharram Sail-In has changed venues to Downtown Ft. Myers. More details forth coming.
We are looking forward to making this event a great success for all Wharram enthusiasts, as well as others multihull designs, monohulls, and anyone interested in mucking around with boats (particularly of the sailing variety). Saturday night diner "Dutch Treat 'at the 'Three Fisherman' (on the beach). Special rates for Motel at the Best Western for those driving, flying in. Please contact Thom DelForge 309-212-1161

The dates are May 20, 21, and 22 - 2016. To make this event successful we would like to have RSVP for attendees. Lee County Tourism has been helpful in creating a venue in the heart of Downtown FT. MYERS (actually across the Cleveland St (US 41) bridge. Best Western and The Three Fishermen Restaurant (on the water) as well as many other options for accommodations are within walking distance. While we have been revolved around amateur Wharram Polynesian design Catamarans we want to emphasize anyone interested in sailing, causing, and just plain messing around with boats is welcome. We have been granted permission to 'beach' our boats at the 'North Shore Park - https://www.google.com/maps/place/North+Shore+Park/@26.6573516,-81....!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x88db41f67a2569d7:0xa167e056561fb85 (copy & paste). Anchoring out is also permitted. Please contact HuiWharram@gmail.com or myself thomdelforge@mac.com ASAP -- we would like to know how many boats to expect. Very shortly there will be a Facebook page for those that do the Facebook thing. Historically the Hui Wharram has been interesting for sailors great fun sharing stories and ideas.
